It's nice to meet ya! I'm a Jesus-loving artist, teacher, and published children's author who adores my handsome husband and precious sons. When I am not snapping photos you can find me homeschooling my boys, sipping a latte at our local cafe with a friend, picking up toys, nibbling Junior Mints, and daydreaming about exploring the globe. I came to Central Ohio from Madison, Wisconsin, by way of Southern California and the Czech Republic. The social studies teacher in me gets giddy about travel and experiencing other cultures!
I have been into photography since the ancient days of film and dark rooms and have developed (pun intended) my skills over the past couple decades. I see art and beauty everywhere, and I can't wait to help you capture the precious moments in your life!

Several years ago I married the red-headed, chivalrous man of my dreams and prayers. Not long after that we added two amazing sons to our family. I cherish the little life we have built together, and we have God and adoption to thank for it. The journey we took to adopt our sons still makes me marvel at how the Lord's plans come together so perfectly.
As private infant adoption is frustratingly pricey, I tapped into my artistic side and offered photography services to help us raise adoption funds. Thus, the name "Plus One" Photography was created because we hoped to *add* to our family. :-)
Photographs are my favorite souvenirs in life. They preserve the joy, the love, and the fun we want to remember and share along with their stories to future generations. Pictures of my family are incredibly precious to me, which is why I want to help YOU capture treasured moments as well!

I wrote a kids book!
Help your little one learn about parts of the body and parts of the church body at the same time! Read about kids using parts of their body to serve their church in different ways—from using their fingers to play worship music to bending their elbows to vacuum the sanctuary. Our hope is that children will learn parts of the body while cultivating a heart for service at the same time.
