If you read that heading in Julie Andrews' singing voice, then YOU are one of my favorite things, too. Haha. Below are a few resources I have come across that have helped me as a [homeschool] momma. Because I have found them so useful, I wanted to share in case you could benefit from them also! I do NOT get compensation from these other than my book and a few referral links denoted with an asterisk*.
Naturally, the book I wrote and published is one of my favorite things. ;-) This kids book is great for preschoolers to learn parts of the body while seeing examples of how to serve in the Church. It is GREAT for baby/child dedications and gifts!
My boys LOVE Trail Life! It has been such a blessing to our family. Trail Life USA is a Church-Based, Christ-Centered, Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy. Click the link to find a troop near you!
This preschool lesson guide was so fun to work with when my sons were in preschool. You work through all 26 letters of the alphabet with corresponding Bible stories and activities. It is an excellent resource to give kids a foundation in school and in the Word of God!
Trueway Kids is phenomenal and FREE Bible lesson resources that can be used with a range of ages. I love that you can make family-style Bible lessons with the different leveled lessons for each Bible study. They are also available in a plethora of languages! Very impressive!
The social studies teacher in me is giddy about World Watch News because it brings families current events in 10-minute videos throughout the week in a straightforward, Christ-centered way. These videos are well made and interesting! My boys really enjoy them. :-)
Superbook is one of my kids' favorite ways to go through Bible stories. The appeal of the kids and robot interacting with Bible figures captures their attention. I also think the stories are very well portrayed. Such a nice way to supplement our Bible study time!
I do not love the idea of having to sit and monitor every single little thing my kids watch, so we ditched streaming services and switched to Yippee for kids programming. Their faith-honoring shows edify my boys, and I don't have to worry about what show they click on.
I'm a history buff, and I LOVE these shows. Dave Stotts takes viewers through all sorts of different historical sites and tells us about them in interesting, humorous ways. They appeal to my sons (and husband!), which I adore. I highly recommend these for history class!
As a licensed educator, I am highly impressed with the Good and the Beautiful curriculum. Their open-and-go lessons are so well done! TGTB curriculum honors our faith without teaching doctrine, which I as the parent get to decide how to teach my sons. Love it!
There are "tricky people" out there, and we parents need to prepare our kids not to be fooled by them. These Safe Hearts books are excellent tools to start "kidversations" with our children about tricky people and how to avoid dangerous situations. (Our local library had copies!)
I'm a big fan of using natural products to promote healthy living, and Earthley has been a great asset to our family! There are many remedies on there that can address various health needs. Browse their catalog and use their chat feature if you've got questions!
We are foodies in my house, and Universal Yums helps us learn about the world with our tongues, haha. We get a box each month with tasty treats from places around the world, which sparks geography lessons and more. Get a $5 credit on your first order when using my referral link!
I'm a big fan of feeding your body the fuel it needs for optimal health. This curriculum from the Holistic Dietitian fuses smart nutrition with spiritual wisdom. God designed our bodies, so let's be sure we're stewarding them well! These lessons are designed to be done family-style, which I love. Get a copy for your family's Health class or Science class.
